Over the past two years, Olive's Independent Order of Odd Fellows has grown from a group of six to twenty and has earned the distinction of being the first lodge in New York State to admit women. Spurred by this recent influx of new members, Shokan Lodge No. 491 is actively seeking to restore its meeting hall as well as reestablish its use as a venue for community events.
