Just as ours, and every other weekly newspaper in Ulster County was "going to bed" April 23, party leaders of the local Democratic and Republican parties met behind closed doors and figured out a new redistricting plan after one had already been decided. As a result, Ulster County legislative elections will now be decided on a 12 district system, with between two and four members apiece, until 2012 after the next census takes place. Continue>>>
