Singer-Denman Battles Boiceville Market Then Announces It's Closing Its Doors...

A week after blocking the entrance to the Boiceville Supermarket to protest the grocery store's sale of competing merchandise, the owner of the neighboring Singer-Denman Lumber Co. says he is closing up shop.
"Tomorrow is our last day," Kevin Scanlan said this past Saturday. "I'm done. I'm done trying. When you can't meet payroll, then you know it's over."

Local Bruin Troubles Worsen When Yogi Tries Three Doors Then Posts A Letter

Early Tuesday morning, June 3, a hungry black bear couldn't find any food and settled for mailing a letter.

After pawing the front doors of the Chinese restaurant, Hong Kong, the Subway, and the health food store, he smashed the two glass front doors of the Boiceville Post Office and came into the lobby.
