Pascal
Rogé and Ami Hakuno opened the 2007/8 Trail
Mix Concert Series at the Olive Free Library with a sublime
performance in a beautiful all French program for two pianos.
Pascal Rogé, one of the top pianists in the world, had
nothing but praise for the pianos used, a Bechstein grand and
Steinway grand, both recently rebuilt by Israel Schossev of
Woodstock Piano Company, seen above. Trail Mix’s next
concert will be on November 18th at 2:30pm. What a blessing
for all of us!

A
Jar Of Olives...
The Road Not Taken
10/25/2007
By Carol La Monda
I am going to leave the politics
to the politicians, but I am going
to urge Olive’s citizens
to go and vote on November 6.
With so many of the town and county
candidates uncontested, the tendency
is to be nonchalant and say, “It’s
only a Town Council and District
Attorney race.” Your vote,
or lack of vote, is your voice.
If you don’t vote, then
someone else decides for you.
Go vote, you lucky American!
