
Mount Tremper Arts holds its free Season Opening
Celebration on Saturday, July 10th, with a series of events starting
with a 3:00 PM performance of choreographer Rashaun Mitchell (seen
above) responding to new poetry by Anne Carson in collaboration
with dancer Silas Riener , followed by a 4:00 PM concert by the
post-classical string quartet ETHEL performing work by Terry Riley,
John King, Phil Kline and Julia Wolfe, followed at 5:30 PM by
members of the Merce Cunningham Dance Company performing an Event
- site-specific choreographic collage. At 6:00 PM things will
wind down with a pig-roast and vegetarian dishes for a nominal
fee. Mount Tremper Arts is located at 647 Plank Road between Mt.
