The Arts Society of Kingston will be celebrating new beginnings in its January Members Lounge show, entitled “Commencing: Art for the New Year,” which includes the work of three collage artists, Mt. Tremper-based Susan Phillips among them. An opening reception takes place on Saturday, January 6, from 5 to 8 at the ASK Arts Center, 97 Broadway. Seen above is “Pieces of Dreams”, by Phillips,who is also known for her photographic works.



Eric Mingus, son of world-renowned jazz bassist Charles Mingus. a local resident of years past, will be playing the Catamount Cafe in Mt. Tremper New Year’s Eve with an all-star roster of Woodstock musical talent including Bruce Katz, Randy Ciarlante, Kyle Esposito, and Chris Zaloom. It all kicks off at 9pm with an
