Gillian Jagger, seen here with her sculpture "Cloim," is part of the new outdoor invitational sculpture show, "STEPPING OUTdoors," at Ulster County Community College. The show, which features contemporary sculpture set in a number of outdoor spaces on the college‚s Stone Ridge campus, runs through October 31. The other artists are Iain Machell, Mary Frank, Grace Wapner, Anthony Krauss and Chris Duncan. Jagger, whose home and studio is a farm in Kerhonkson, has her work  represented in many museums and private collections, and she is the subject of Casting Faith, a one-hour PBS documentary. The University of Wisconsin at Madison mounted a major retrospective of her work in 2002-2003.  Since 1956, Jagger has shown regularly at major galleries in New York City. The public is invited to view the sculptures during daylight hours using a self-guided tour. For more information, call (845) 687-5262 or check the college website at www.sunyulster.edu.
