SHANDAKEN CALENDAR
Donald Brenner, Broadway veteran and the Visiting Artist at SUNY Ulster for the spring semester will be the focus of two upcoming events. On April 19, he will be conducting an audition workshop for aspiring actors and singers. On April 26, Brenner will direct a staged reading of his own adaptation of Charles Dickens’ classic novel, Great Expectations. Those interested in being a part of the free workshop should prepare a 1 minute monologue or 16 bars from a Broadway musical. A sign-up sheet will be provided at the door. For Great Expectations, to play on Saturday, April 26 at 7:00 p.m. in Quimby Theater on the Stone Ridge campus of the college. Brenner will be auditioning students and community members for roles in the production on Friday, April 18 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in Room 137 of Vanderlyn Hall. Nothing need be prepared.
