After a few early years reaching out to the local community
via its giant kaleidoscopes, open-to-all soccer fields, a
family-friendly fireman's themed restaurant, and a bar and
events scene at the old Catamount CafÈ, what started
as Catskill Corners eventually became The Emerson Resort,
and apart from some spa amenities and a restaurant open to
all, turned its back on what was around it.

The alternative educational program INDIE will lose its
$50,000 in funding through the Onteora School District because
of the latest rounds of budget cuts, with its contract ending
at the end of this month.
Thus ends a ten-year relationship, placing the future of
the innovative program in jeopardy.
