In a program now in it's 7th season, the Belleayre Mountain Ski Center in conjunction with the Town of Shandaken's Recreation Dept, is again making an offer to town residents that's hard to refuse. Call Tina Rice at 688-2106. She'll send you the form to register, no charge. Then, any Sunday starting January 2, on your way up the mountain, stop at the lower (Discovery) Lodge and see Tina on the top floor to buy your $44 lift ticket for $16..cash only...and that price includes a free group lesson, any level, if you want one. And if you need to rent equipment,, the full ski package is just $9 for the day at the mountain's rental facility, or $10 at the Belleayre Ski Shop just down the road..snowboard rental packages however, run $25. The catch? Okay, here it is: You MUST pick up your lift tickets at the lower lodge by 10:00 AM on Sundays.
